The Chinese Society for Measurement (CSM) was established on February 28, 1961. It constitutes a national, academic, and non-profit social organization, which has been officially approved and registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The overseeing administrative authority is the State Administration for Market Regulation . The CSM is subject to the professional oversight of the State Market Regulation Administration and the China Association for Science and Technology, and it holds the status of a group member unit within the China Association for Science and Technology.

Changcheng Institute of Metrology & Measurement (CIMM) , located on the foot of beautiful Xishan Mountain in Beijing, was founded in 1961. As the leader of Chinese industry metrology and first-class instrument supplier, CIMM is committed to measurement science and technology research, legal metrology, and metrology product development. We have established professional competences, such as dynamic measurement, non-contact measurement and advanced sensor technology. Now, CIMM has become a comprehensive Metrology & Measurement technology institute.
