Submission Instructions

The abstracts and full papers accepted for the IMEKO TC3、TC5、TC16、TC20、TC22 Joint Conference 2026 & the 3rd International Conference on Dynamic Measurement 2026 will serve as the basis for scholarly exchange during the conference. Special issues have been formally proposed to the journals Measurement, Measurement: Sensors, and Measurement: Energy; however, submission eligibility is strictly limited to authors whose papers are both (i) accepted to the conference and (ii) presented at the conference either as an oral presentation or as a poster. Papers not accepted to this conference—or accepted but not presented or displayed at the conference—will not be considered for these special issues. Eligible presenting authors may submit their work to either English journals (as listed above) or designated Chinese journals, according to the following guidelines:

Submission Notes:

1. Authors are advised to select an appropriate journal based on the alignment of their paper’s subject area with the journal’s scope and editorial focus.

Measurement: No article processing charges (APCs); however, it maintains a comparatively high rejection rate due to rigorous peer review.

Acta IMEKO: Fully open-access, online-only publication; no APCs or page charges.

《计测技术》: Eligible papers accepted for presentation at this conference may qualify for partial or full waiver of publication fees, subject to editorial discretion.

For all other journals, applicable publication fees conform strictly to their respective official policies.

All listed journals have established a dedicated fast-track review pathway for papers submitted as conference proceedings.

2. Review and adhere to the author guidelines

The links provided in the table above direct to each journal’s official Instructions for Authors. Authors must consult these documents thoroughly prior to submission. Key requirements include: article structure, word count limits, figure and table formatting specifications, reference style, ethical compliance statements.

3. Uphold rigorous ethical standards

1) Simultaneous submission to the conference special issues listed in the table is strictly prohibited. Papers rejected from these special issues may be resubmitted to other journals, provided no prior publication or archival deposit has occurred.

2) Authorship: All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research and must explicitly agree to both the authorship order and the final version of the paper.

3) Ethical approval: Studies involving human participants, live vertebrates, or biohazardous materials require formal ethical review and approval; the corresponding approval number and a signed statement confirming compliance must be submitted with the paper.

4) Disclosure of conflicts of interest: All authors must disclose any financial interests, affiliations, or other relationships that could reasonably be perceived as posing a potential conflict of interest with respect to the research.

4. Article Writing Guidance

Submitted papers must be substantially expanded beyond the conference abstract or short presentation version. Authors are expected to provide comprehensive empirical evidence, detailed methodological descriptions, thorough interpretation of results, and clear connections between findings and broader scholarly context. Failure to adequately develop the paperparticularly in terms of data depth, analytical rigor, and explanatory claritysignificantly increases the risk of rejection during peer review.

5. Peer Review Process

1) This journal employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process, requiring that all author-identifying information—including names, affiliations, and acknowledgments revealing author identity—be fully removed from the paper file to ensure impartial evaluation.

2) Special issues of this journal are managed and peer-reviewed by appointed guest editors, whose names are publicly disclosed on the journal’s official website.

3) Please provide a thorough, point-by-point response to all reviewer comments, including (i) the original comment verbatim, (ii) a clear and concise explanation of how the comment has been addressed, and (iii) the precise location of each revision in the revised paper (e.g., page number, line number, or section heading).
